A Disco to End All Discos
This wedding? Absolute pure joy.
Now, weddings are inherently full of joy—let’s be honest, that’s kind of their thing. But this wedding? It was next-level. Matt and Abi were surrounded by friends and family so full of love for them, the day felt like one big, warm group hug. And it’s a testament to just how incredible they are as a couple, and as individuals.
Abi called it “The Disco to End All Disco’s,” and honestly, I’m not sure I can top that. From the discoballs tucked into the bouquets to the ones twinkling in the stunning floral arrangements, this celebration was full of playful, fun details that made my heart do a little happy dance. And don’t even get me started on the custom musical touches throughout the venue—like the vinyl albums as table names? Stealing that idea for my own wedding, 100%.
Of course, no wedding would be complete without the couple getting their time in the spotlight. And lucky for everyone, Matt and Abi are musical legends in their own right. Matt took the stage with the cool-as-ever History & Lore, his university band that just celebrated 10 years together—proof that their sound is only getting better with time. Meanwhile, Abi owned it as part of the Vintage Jazz Trio, Apple Blossoms, a set that was full of glitz and brass, with Galaxy bringing the energy and charm you’d expect from a Big Band of that name.
And to make an already over-the-moon photographer even more thrilled, we were treated to a breathtaking golden hour, complete with a rainbow — yes, a real, honest-to-goodness rainbow! It was the perfect backdrop for the wedding party photos, and I couldn’t help but squeal with joy after every shot I snapped.
