Anti-posing Workshop 2.1
Recently I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Anti-Posing Workshop 2.1 hosted by Georgia Rachael Photography. From the moment I arrived (embarrassingly early may I add) I was made to feel welcome and at home. Biscuits, tea, coffee (hand sanitiser) were all offered and accepted within minutes of being there. When the other photographers started to arrive it was easy to feel the excitement in the air about not only being in the presence of other photographers, but being in the presence of people in general!
Georgia kicked off the workshop with a presentation, highlighting all the key points that will be covered in the practical. It was informative and I personally scribbled down a LOT of notes.
After an hour or so, Will and Cathy arrived (@ceemeandtea on Instagram) in very good spirits. We all headed to Bacton Wood to start the practical part of the workshop. Will and Cathy were styled to be a boho dream, perfectly complimenting the woods.
After taking a while to warm up I could feel myself getting more and more excited with every new shot I was taking, everything Georgia covered in the presentation we were putting into practice and achieving beautiful results. The other four photographers that were taking part in the workshop were so friendly and so supportive, I really felt like we were all encouraging each other along.
The models and Georgia were so patient and encouraging, making sure we each got our own opportunities to capture and experiment with new shots.
Since finishing the workshop I have continued to communicate with everyone who took part and I am so grateful to have built a network of supportive photographers, (hello community over competition)
I can’t stress how much fun I had on the day, and I feel confident in recommending this workshop to anyone who is considering it.
